I will never buy another Innovate product... ever

My lc-1 has been grief since it was new. Needed frequent calibration. Got about 4k miles on it and its dead. Controller won't talk to the laptop, won't turn on the led, won't heat the sensor, nothing on the analog outputs. Checked power and voltage at the circuit board and its good.

Wired another megasquirt car just like mine - shared ground straight to the battery - same calibration crap.

Setup another car with dual lc-1s, the fancy overpriced Innovate digital gauges - keeps calibration ok - heater calibration problems and error 8 on one every other time it powers up, and it has 0 miles on it. The other flashes Er about half the time.

I know I don't have wiring issues. I'm finding plenty of other people having grief with them too.

I have a JAW on order - will see how that works out.

My LM-1 is a pos too. Except it keeps going through 02 sensors, one about every 3 months, on unleaded fuel. That and the 2 programmable outputs reset to defalt about every month. I finally bought a dyno jet and am quite pleased.

My JAW shipped - Car is busted again right now but I will report back when I get the JAW put together.

Major blow by - probably put a hole in a piston because of this crap wideband.

I have both the LC-1 and LM-1. Both have been working awesome for me for over a year and half now. The LC-1 is in my car and i have put 7,000 mile on it easy. Guess i just have good luck.

Dang...! I'm sorry to hear this brother! Best hopes for a quick recovery.
I bought a PLX Wide band and it's been working fine since a year and a few months now.

I use a Dynojet WB O2 sensor. It has an analog output with an O2 gage. It also has all the software and interface, but, the analog gage is good to have w/o a lap computer and monitor of throttle and engine load transitions. It has helped me tune for closed loop and WOT modes. I have had good success with the Dynojet WB tuning for FI application. Yes, it is more expensive than the Innovate brand ($450). 97ss MM6 383_D1. I had the very same exact problem with my first lc-1. I bought it from ebay and then the guy wouldnt respond to me to warranty it l8r. I too had issues from day 1 with calibration. It would like lose its memory, id calibrate it and sometimes it would work for a few ignition cycles, other times not at all, then days later it would work again. I got tired of playing with it and bought another one from a local dealer and installed it exactly on the same wiring, calibrated it, and its been working ever since, but there was one day it was acting suspicious, but I had a failing battery so.....?? The one I have now seems to work pretty well, with the same gauge I had originally. I wish I knew other ere exp. the same thing,....I wouldnt have bought another. Oh well, hope it continues to work.

Don't know yet if anything will change. Got a lead on some heads that flow 291 and mine are 250ish. If I snag those I am thinking bigger cam. Problem then will be the little undersized 70mm. I have a second mp 70 in the garage so......

It's all up in the air until I get it tore down. Maybe start this week.
