How much will ati fuel pump and FMU will handle?

Hi guys,
I'm building a 383 as we speak, however the funds are limited and I was wondering....
"If" I put the engine together (9 to 1 cr plus what I have in the sign) Could I run my P600b with the 8 or 7 psi pulley (which I'll guess be around 6psi intercooled in a 383) using the fuel pump and the FMU that came with the kit? (Until I can upgrade my fuel syst. and then go with the 12# pulley)???
Or will I run short in fuel
BTW '93s came with 22# injectors

thanks
leo

I'd really try to get some 24's or 30's cheap as some basic insurance. My friend has put down 476rwhp with the stock plus ati inline, that was through a TH400 and 10 bolt. but he was using 72lbs injectors and no fmu.

Dont risk hurting a 10k motor build beacause of fuel, its the worst place you could get cheap on. If i where I would get some 42s or 50s and put a good intank pump in. You can do this for 500 bucks. If you drive it, dont get on it at all. Better off leaving the charger off until your ready for fuel. IMO

Thanks for the advise,
I think I rather save for 50# injectors than spending my money twice (for 30#s and then for 50#s)

thanks, I guess I'll buy the fuel syst. first and then the R.A.
I was looking at"new era perfromance"
DELPHI (MSD) 50LB FUEL INJECTORS $450
or
Mototron 60lb. $460 at new era performance + Walbro 255 lph fuel pump for $105
and also
would that fuel pump handle my needs with a little room to expand later? (D1)

thanks
leo

well its good that you realize its best just to spend the money once, when I reccommended the 24's or 30's (used) I was saying so because you can usually get a good deal and sell them for what you paid for them when the comes, 42's and up are a different story. Good luck with the project, I am in th emiddle of installing my aftercooler watertank in the truck, lots ol fun.
