Another Dyno Number question..
Another Dyno Number question..
I had to have my block redone again.. the bearings were torn up.. Its currently being done right now and should be ready next week.. Im just trying to guage what im going to dyno around with my setup.. New setup will be:
Block: Honed with torque plates, coverted to 4 bolt main. The block is .040 over with a 3.50 stroke making it a 359 im guessing. 6" eagle rods and JE blower pistons at a 9:1 compression.. The cam is 224/236 .536/.555 114.. 1.6 rr and comp r lifters.
Heads: Fully ported stock heads with 2.00 valves a 1.60 for the exhaust.. The combustion chambers have been ported to 58cc making that 9:1 cr possible. No flow numbers though.. not yet..
Intake: Polished intake with a 58mm TB..
Blower: T trim vortech with a 6.66 crank pulley and a 2.75 blower pulley seeing about 13-15PSI of boost.. No after cooler.
Car: M6 with 4.10s. 42# injectors and the T rex Boost pump..
If you guys could give me a guess at what I should be seeing that would be great

Re: Another Dyno Number question..
You're combo will be right on the edge in a couple of ways. As others have pointed out, that's not enough injector. Been there, done that, broke the piston. Also, that's alot of boost to run with no intercooler and 9/1. Been there too, done that also, melted a few plugs. I had to run a ton of boost retard to keep it out of detonation. Anyway, I did have a very similar combo:
355 cid, 9/1 compression
AFR 210 Race Ready heads
Crane 210/224 cam
6.66/2.75 on a T-trim with no intercooler for 14 psi
Dyno'd through a 4L60E, it made 415 rwhp with a safe tune. With a ragged edge tune, it made 460 rwhp, but it was registering some knock retard, so it wasn't safe to run this way. It ran 11.50 at 126 mph on drag radials.

Re: Another Dyno Number question..
Only 460? I was hoping around 600..... What plugs would you suggest? What gap? would 50# injectors be enough? I dont want to run the FMU. Should I?

They are high impedance.

Realistically, a stock fuel pump will not support 42lb injectors. It is extremely important that you go with a good fuel system to support those big injectors. A stock fuel pump will support around 400 rwhp. Do not skimp out on the fuel system or your wallet will suffer sooner than later.

[QUOTE=IDOXLR8]Yes they are low impedance.

Actually Art, they are High impedance and will work with stock computer. You must be thinking about injectors for your car.

You are correct.
I do not know what I was thinking while I was typing. Thanks for the correction.

Isnt the T-trim a little biger CFM wise to a P600????
FWIW its got SVO 42#'rs, 4L60E too......
Re: Another Dyno Number question..
Add an intercooler and better heads and maybe 600 then. With 9/1, 14 psi, and no intercooler, you'll have to retard the hell out of the timing and it really kills the power.

Re: Another Dyno Number question..
Could I run methanol? Should I run the stock blower pulley? 3.33.. How much boost would i see? I have it tuned for the boost, shouldnt that have takin timing out from there? I shouldnt need to mess with the boost retard inside the car. Its a tune from PCMforless..

screw the methanol, get an intercooler
