How much fuel pressure

Say guys how much fuel pressure do you run with your stock lt1 with a procharger, mine shows 48lbs at idle last I looked, the thing runs way rich and will spit and sputter and leave a black cloud. Its has a brand new opti. all the o2 sensers are fine. The MAF is on the boost side, and brian at pcmforless did a tune on it. Could the FMU be messed up and loading fuel with out boost. any suggestions

Re: How much fuel pressure

when the vacuum line is off the fuel pressure regulator, it should be set to 43 psi. at idle mine goes to about 38 with vacuum hooked up

Brian probably has it tuned assuming your fp is stock. Get that down and it should clear up the problem.

48 is way to high for idle with an FMU. Something is amiss. Mine showed 38 at idle and it would increase as you step on the throttle based on the amount of vacuum or boost the pressure regulater sees. IE Less vacuum= More fuel pressure. The fmu doesnt do anything until it sees boost.
