Hobbs Switches

After much searching, I finally found a source for these.

http://www.alliedelec.com/Search/Pro...&IND=T&SEARCH=

Now, what I need to know, are these style switches adjustable. If you go to the honeywell/hobbs PDF page, it says they are, but no guidance is given on doing this. I'd just like to know how easy it is to adjust the setting as I'm considering getting the 3.1-7 PSI switch and setting it to 6 PSI to start.

Second, for "verification" purposes, what do you all think of running a dual circuit hobbs switch and using the second circuit to light a LED mounted in the console or dash for verification that the switch is working (and a cross reference against your boost gauge to verify the switch accuracy).

Re: Hobbs Switches

Yes Hobbs switches come in 3 styles. One is set and sealed and you buy it at a set pressure. The other two are adjustable ( a screw under the cap is used to adjust it) of these two one is made to be on and turn off when the set pressure is hit. The other is off until the pressure is hit.

I use to buy these at a diesel repair shop since a lot of the big 18 wheeliers motors use them for oil shutdown and other things.

Good Luckk
