I not sure what size intercooler to run to met 1000hp on crank? thanks any help will be appreciated.

Mike,
Has the center portion of your bumper sagged at all from the cut-out? I am about to mount my FMIC, and really like how you opened up the flow.

The bumper cover? It's held up fine up to like 120mph and it's not even attached with the plastic fasteners underneath (which I should use). It has started to tear on one side because I've bumped parking barriers and curbs when parking and it's pushed back.

The actual C-channel 'bumper' mount was completely cut away as can be seen in this pic:

The tube in front of the I/C was added to give some rigidity and serve as a low speed bumper to protect the I/C.

Just getting started...

Cut away some of the honeycomb...

The 3" OBX Intercooler and the aluminum angle stock (any hardware store has it) I used to mount the Intercooler...

Measured and cut the aluminum angle stock. Drilled holes and mounted it all. You can't see in the picture but I have two aluminum straps bolted to the bottom of the intercooler for additional support...

With the bumper cover on...

Did you cut some big holes in the bumper for airlfow?

All of these look great! I haven't made my mind up how I'm going to mount mine yet, but I was wanting to do some sort of screen over the hole in the bumper cover to help prevent rock chips, etc. to the intercooler. Any thoughts?

I personally think that would look tacky. It looks badass with a big open scoop, it's like a jet engine. I could throw baseballs at my intercooler and not hurt it, it's tough as hell. The runners are extruded "tubing" unlike a radiator.

I should note that a while ago I cut 2 rows of the bottom of my I/C because it was a bit lower than liked. It would scrape on the ground unless I angled the car when coming in my driveway, etc., keep that in mind when you mount yours.

Doesn't look tacky to me. I have a grill on mine. Wouldn't want it any other way.

That does look good. I think the sight of a intercooler on a muscle car is menacing, I wouldn't want to cover it up too much.
