Front mount intercooler in bumper
Re: Front mount intercooler in bumper
If you paint the intercooler black it won't stick out so much- Keep in mind you are already limiting the amount of air to get to it with a hole that is about 1/3 the size of the intercooler- putting a grill in front of it to further slow air flow might not be a good idea.
When I put my intercooler in I filled the bumper back in to fit flush against the intercooler for a more custom install- with the hole cut-out it looked unfinished to me. It was extra work and didn't turn out perfect considering it was my first attempt at body work, let alone on a piece that flexes like the bumper cover does. I don't have the current pics on this computer- I will try and get some to show what I am talking about.

Re: Front mount intercooler in bumper
I got a billet grill over mine you cant even tell there's an intercooer in there unless you really know what to look for, my car stands out enough as it is im not too big on advertising the extras I think for me it would be doing too much. I have a pic in my photo album I dont know how to post photos here without a hosting site.
