I'm sorry, I'm not trying to insult you or bust your chops; it's just that your question is not only unhelpful in terms of understanding your issue with the blower, it's kind of snide.

It would be much better if you said: "I don't like that blower because ______."

Well then. I called it a Heaton for a reason. I happen to have a Eaton blower. I dont like the blower because unported or without having it redone by Magnum(sp?) You can only go so far with it. I think its a cool project for a Camaro but I feel if youre going to go through that much stuff why not go with a screw blower. With that sayed mabey it's not a vialble option, dunno for sure. All I know is as soon as Whipple release (fingers crossed) there race 3.3 blower my Eaton is going in the trash. There, is that better?

I recently found this photo...

That is an LS1. This project was an LT1. I do happen to have about 20 pics from this project, just don't know how to post them.

Hey Honda Hunter, you having fun baking in Bahrain (been there never wanna do that again)? Your Eaton would work better over here in the cool temps

I kinda came off as an @$$ but I really dislike the Eaton for some odd reason. I also hate Kenne Bell lol. Anayways, it's a cool project for the Camaro and Im sure a roots or screw blower would do fairly well on a big motor. As for Bahrain, I love it here for some reason. I was stationed here in 1998 for 6 months then I came back in 04 and have been here since. Havent seen the US in 2 years. This is honestly my home away from home. Weird eh?

Re: Eaton RUNS!! LOUD PROBLEMS WITHIN..

I know, I found this picture from ls1tech, Ill post up his other pics...

The cowl had to be modified and the passenger wiper pivot was moved to the driver side of the blower. The wiper linkage had to be shortend and the plastic cowl piece was modified. Also I have a pic of the cutting required in the cardoamin link. Pics are up as of now.

Re: Eaton RUNS!! LOUD PROBLEMS WITHIN..

Yeah, that was alvin's setup. I saved them when I he was posting the progress of his buildup. He no longer owns the setup, what was the problem with them being up. They were removed from a public internet site I just happened to have the pics, I wasn't claiming it was my system or anything?

Re: Eaton RUNS!! LOUD PROBLEMS WITHIN..

I pulled down the pictures because I had a bunch of people asking me for specific dimensions basically to copy my work to market it.> One guy was clear and upfront about it and I told him I wasn't interested in selling any plans but he still nagged me for quite a while

Then I saw another group trying to building and selling them and it was like a direct copy.

I don't mind if someone copies it.. i'm just offended when thier end product looks exactly the same.

Re: Eaton RUNS!! LOUD PROBLEMS WITHIN..

well, i dont even have an lt1 or ls1, rather I have a V6 3.8 and was wanting to know how it might be that I could replicate the setup for it to work for the 3.8 guys. We dont have the aftermarket forced inductions as you guys do, and everyone (read 3.8 guys) say that its impossible for such a supercharger to work on a 3.8. I just want to be able to see the photos and determine if the project is worth it.

As you may or may not know the 3.8 GTP guys are making some serious power with an M112 on stock bottom ends but it still leaves the FBody guys behind while they get to have all the fun.

Like I said I just want to see these photos and all that it takes to get such a setup to work on a FBody. If someone could help me out with this and send some photos to 317indy@comcast.net I would be grateful.

Re: Eaton RUNS!! LOUD PROBLEMS WITHIN..

I thought powerdyne and Vortec made supercharger kits for the v6. I remember years ago RKsport sold one of them. Your hope for a supercharger may not be to far off. I just looked at the RKsport website and thy sell the Powerdyne kit for the V6 though it is $3900. I'm sure you can find it cheaper somewhere else.

Sorry about that alvin, I see your point.

Bill

Re: Eaton RUNS!! LOUD PROBLEMS WITHIN..

Bill,

I would like those pics and use them as reference material if you don't mind. Alvin appears to be OK with using them as long as we don't attempt to duplicate everything. I actually remeber this thread from back when it first came out, and that system was loud when he first had got it running. When I get home I should check to see if I still have a copy of it...

Please send the pics to carstuff@pszweb.com

*** EDIT ***
Edited the above to respect Alvin's wishes in the next post.

I don't care what you do with them.. but I do not give you permission to post them on a website or forum.

Sorry, just a really bad taste in my mouth.

Alvin, at one time you were going to market the intake for that setup. Have you given up on the idea?
