From what I have seen of the M-112 @ 18 psi has it an outlet temp of 300*deg with out the factory intercooler.....and low 140*deg temp with the intercooler....

oh yeah.....I thought the new Lightnings had the M-120 blower?

jeez guys.. i had other topics out there.

it made 460rwhp on desktop dyno with TTS power systems.. never got it to the track cause it was a 11.0 compression motor.. That TTS stuff should be a good ballpark figure too.

Rebuilt it for the hell of it. the old motor was leaking oto much oil, had too much compression for safety/reliability, and the wrong camshaft

so now i'm trying to break the new motor in and get it all worked out. The car makes 9psi and is completely quiet. you can't tell its there. feels just like my old 150 wet shot did.

Wow you really got me wanting one of these things, it must be so nice and torquey on the street. I wrote Magnasom about there new eaton LS1 and they responded that a LT1 version is in the works, but they are not sure if it will work in the F-Body. I really hope they at least look at the idea. I know some have mentioned that it wouldn't work with our cars cause of the sill and wipers would need to come out. Looking at your pics, it looks like it would fit without any modification, so long as they use that backwards pully thing with the charger turned around. Since you've used the Eaton, do you think there are any problems that would stop Magnasum from throwing it in the F-Body, besides the high compression?

na and serously after riding in vortech supercharged cars i just don't understand how you guys can do it..

they have to basicly beat the **** out of the car to get boost.. i can snap 5 psi in a parkinglot

It makes it really really fun car.

By the scan tool I make boost with anything more than 23% throttle

I never rode in a car with a centrafugal charger, But I have been told I would be disappointed as compared to the positive displacement. What are the chances of you quiting your day job and going into the supercharger business so the rest of us can have just as much fun. I honestly don't know why no one else has tryed this, I am very impressed you pulled this thing off so easily, and in such a short time. It took Magnasum forever to get that LS1 charger in production, I know at least a year, since I called them and they were working on it last summer. Glad to see you got the bugs worked out of itGot any new pics with a hood or anything

You'd probably like a turbo as well.

If you have only 5psi of boost then yes you have to beat the crap out of it.. but when you have 10psi its a bit more boost at lower rpms...

When you need it its there, but I agree that postive displacement is better...

Here's a question for ya

seeing what a great job ROOSTER did on his car and all this talk about positive displacement chargers got me thinking. I wonder if it would be possible to take an old style roots charger like the weiand 142, 177, or 6-71 and drill the lower section to accept injectors and instead of putting a carb(s) on top, put a 4-barrel thottle body. Yeah it would take tons of fab work and a DFI setup and so on and so forth....but wouldnt it be cool! What are you guys ideas on this? Is it even possible, are there reasons one should not even try? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

It will take you a lot more than 8k to do it, I think, if not somebody will clarify this, and you still have any available power from other kits like turbos from PTK and vortech etc.. so Its too much fabrication and it will look like frankenstine after all... So its really hard to make something street legal when there is so much competition... I guess it would go out for the ls1 rather thanthe LT1

Well my dreams of a kit from magnsolm is buried, talked with some tech guy on the phone and he said they did in fact try and install the M112 and the M90 but both were to big he said saying that they were at least 3 inches to high to fit under the cowl. Plus he said the pullies with the charger on backwards wouldn't work cause there wasn't any room for the pullies. He said the LT1 kit will be mainly for Corvette and hot rod applications with this engine swapped. Apparently they must make that intake realy high, because Roosters fits under there, except for the top inlet. It said I've seen it done by a few places, like the shop that installed one somewhere on the web, but this guy said it was impossible. He said those people must be better engineers than what they have, cause he couldn't see how it was possible. without cutting up the cowl
