Eaton RUNS!! LOUD PROBLEMS WITHIN..
my cowl is barely cut.. maybe like 2-3 inches..
there is plenty of room for the pulleys too. If i had a firehawk hood i woudln' thave any clearanceing problems at all.
And this was very cheap to do. you couldn't buy a used vortech for what i got this running for and i used a brand new blower

You could make a small business with this, just have people send you there intake, cut it down and have your man or weld on the new metal, and send it back with some other parts that people could use to put the kit together for themselves, or just send them straight out and use core charges. I know I'd be interested and you could charge a high amount to make yourself some money and still be cheaper than anyone buying a complete kit from the big companies. I know most guys can put together some of there own parts without having an easy bolt on process. Most people want the major hassle stuff done for them like the intake and additional pully tensioner, other than that it would be pretty smooth bolting from there--at least from my understanding of it. Even if you don't try to make a business out of it, maybe you could make some guides for us guys willing to grind on their cars and dare to be different as you have done. By the way, How did you get rid of the noise, was it that you needed an air filter and some tubing?
You can sign me up on the waiting list, I would be one of the individuals highly interested in this set-up. If going in the marketing direction please I stress PLEASE have thorough concise instructions. Hands down.....................upgrade, keep us harccore enthusiast updated as details unfold. Take care

I wonder if it would be possible to take an old style roots charger like the weiand 142, 177, or 6-71 and drill the lower section to accept injectors and instead of putting a carb(s) on top, put a 4-barrel thottle body. Yeah it would take tons of fab work and a DFI setup and so on and so forth....but wouldnt it be cool! What are you guys ideas on this? Is it even possible, are there reasons one should not even try? Any input would be greatly appreciated.

It would be easier then what rooster went through to build his setup.
Could you make it bolt up… sure, just move the bolt holes in the intake manifold. Could you make it work like you suggest… probably not. At issue is that they supposedly rely on the fuel flowing through them to keep them cool.
How would I do it? Get the traditional small block setup, get the bolt holes to line up. Make a spacer plate, roughly ¾” tall the same shape as the inlet of the blower and drill the sides for injector bungs, and then setup the top to mate to the TB of your choice. Personally, I think that you could do something cool with 2 stock TB’s, and if you set it up so they are horizontal like on the original engine (maybe facing both sides or both facing one side…) you could minimize clearance issues.

So as of now do you have your Firebird running strong with your Eaton supercharger. Keep us posted with some hard numbers from the Dyno. Are you currently using have the stock bottom end. Any details would be nice.
