I was doing some research through the threads, and it had been discussed that the DP setup was too large to fit in the part of the tank that surrounds the pickup that keeps it submerged. That definitely wouldn't work for me.

So, you have personally installed the DP setup, and you didn't have to make any modifications to the tank?

The setup the Lonnie Patvis sells requires you to send in the stock fuel bucket so he can modify it. I saw someone else do the same on LS1tech.com.

However on my current car I just chucked the bucket and mounted the single walbro unit onto the pump assembly and had no problems for 5 years before my motor blew up. I don't think the dual pump would be any different and with 2 pumps going on at the same time I highly doubt the return line is going to keep the bucket full at all times.

I hate to hijack a thread, but if I am putting out about 900FWHP, what is going to be the best way to go for me? Should I look into the Aeromotive pump? How much extra would a completed version be?
Dual walbros will easily support 1000 hp, and fwiw I ran dual intanks without the stock bucket and never had problems with the pumps sucking air, even at 1/8 tank.

So, the key is you have to send the bucket to Lonnie huh? If he offers that service, I would rather be safe. I don;t want to worry too much if I'm running low on fuel, and the car sees some extra g's.
