Dynoed, now have a fuel issue

Put the car on the dyno last night and ran out of fuel at 4200 rpms. I heard that racetronix makes a dual intake setup but couldn't find any info on there site. So Does racetronix still make these setups or any body else make the dual intank fuel that will drop in a 4th gen gas tank without to many modifications.
any help would be great.

Lonnie Pavtis still makes this setup for our car. Check your email.

Cool Re: Dynoed, now have a fuel issue

More info would be nice. PSI? Motor specs? I have a 10 psi d1 (355) and I'm using the same pump with a BAP (42lb injecters). I have no fuel issues what so ever. Hope that help some.

Edit I have the gs 340 pump its on my webpage.

Re: Dynoed, now have a fuel issue

94SLUG, Its a 383 PTK gen 1, 65 injectors, FMU, and the pump is a intank 255. we seen as high as 20psi last night but for daily driving its set at 12#. I have a MSD BAP brand new in the box but from what I was told, it's not going to get me much more with the current set up if I install it. I still need enough pump to support the engine needs and to spray a small shot of laughing gas to it.

Mean, I'm going to give Lonnie a call on tuesday to see what he can do for me. How old is that email you sent me?

Re: Dynoed, now have a fuel issue

Just got off the phone with Lonnie Pavtis and he makes the dual intank set racetronix used to make. 2 340 pumps plug and play. Thanks for the help guys.

Hopefully this will get the AFR right for a full pull on the dyno.

Re: Dynoed, now have a fuel issue

I ran into the same fuel shortage on the dyno. Tuned at 42 psi, from 4200 to 5500 rpm we lost over 10psi so clearly the intank and in-line 255lph booster pump aren't NEARLY enough to feed my motor. That was only at #5.5 lbs of boost too, didn't even get to try 9lbs.

If you are going to do more upgrades down the line I would look more into the Aeromotive system with the A1000 pump. I know its overkill for some people but if you are goin to spend a couple hundred now to upgrade and run out later, might as well spend a little more and be all set for a lot of power.

Re: Dynoed, now have a fuel issue

I had some people suggest the Aeromotive 1000 , But I'm going to try and get away with the dual 340 for now since it's a direct plug & play replacement. If that doesn't cut it, then we'll do the 1000 install. As for up grades I know to never say never, but the only upgrade if I do it will just be a turbo. Everything else is built good for now.

But for what its worth it made 575rwhp and 675rwtq @4200 when it started breaking up on me.

Re: Dynoed, now have a fuel issue

Damn it... I just bought the Racetronix single intank pump, harness, 82lbs injectors, and MSD BAP. I was hoping that it would be enough for a 383 with a D1 running around 10-15psi.

I had the same problem. I was running out of fuel with 50# injectors. I would suggest a methanol kit. Fixed my fuel problem right up.

I don't see why you can't. People are running close to 700rwhp on a single 255 pump. It's the luck of the draw I guess. Any have a link to that dual PNP setup though? Can't hurt to look right?

Re: Dynoed, now have a fuel issue

One iteration of my car made 713rwhp with a 12.5:1 AF ratio, Bosch 255lph intank, Kenne Bell "Boost-a-Pump" and stock lines, regulator, rails, etc. Seems to me like the best way to go for all but mega hp setups. BAP is one of the keys to this setup as the pump output is directly related to voltage. The other is having large enough injectors that you can run a relatively low FP. Pump output falls as pressure decreases.

I'm sure Rich meant that pump output falls as pressure increases.

Re: Dynoed, now have a fuel issue

I was looking into the dual pump setup, and thought I was sold on it. I then discovered that I would have to remove the baffling in the tank to keep the pickup submerged, which means I would have to keep the fuel level around half-way.

Since I drive 80miles per day/4 days a week, I would have to refill every other day.

I hate to hijack a thread, but if I am putting out about 900FWHP, what is going to be the best way to go for me? Should I look into the Aeromotive pump? How much extra would a completed version be?

Re: Dynoed, now have a fuel issue

I never removed ANYTHING from my tank when I put mine in (besides the sending unit itself)
