Did Delteq/LTCC solve your problems?

I have a Delteq kit ready to go on. I am hoping it will solve my 5000+RPM problem where all indications are that the spark is blowing out. I use to have a problem at about 4700 RPM, but I reduced my gaps to .030 from .035 and that helped alot. I have considered closing the gaps even more, but have been advised not to due to increased propensity for fouling. I even blew a wad of cash on some Denso Iridium plugs, but that hasn't made any real difference over my Autolite 103s.

If you installed either of these Coil based systems, did it solve your problem?

My Opti is still working and I have been hesitant to change it out until my 4th opti craps out. It shouldn't be too long. I am presuming that this will eliminate any cross firing inside the opti cap/rotor assembly which may be part of my problem. Everytime I replace my opti, the cap has evidence of arcing and scorching on the inside of the cap.

Re: Did Delteq/LTCC solve your problems?

i remember some posts from back a while ago where Jordon Musser was having breakup problems at higher boost levels, and that the LTCC cleared it all up when he put it on.

i just put a Delteq on my car. before i was having major breakup at 4900rpm+, but i was also having fueling issues so i wont be able to really say for sure if there were any spark issues that were fixed by the Delteq.

FWIW, stock opti/coil and an MSD Dig-6 has been working great for me.

The LTCC worked for me. I had went thru 3 optis in 5,000 miles before the LTCC. I've been over 2 years now on the LTCC without a single ignition problem... and thats using my buddies orginal '96 opti spark for the low res signal.
