Cheap Turbo Setup for Thrid gen LT1s
Cheap Turbo Setup for Thrid gen LT1s
Hey guys. Been thinking about throwing in my LT1 into the '88 car, since the '94 is totaled, but would like to rebuild the bottom end, and run a cheap TT or single T setup on that car. It is an '88 Trans Am with no airbox, clean engine bay, so there is some room.
Any idea if anyone has tried this, or if anyone has used stock manifolds/headers to plumb one or two small turbos under the hood. I would imagine it would be the same as doing a TPI car, except it'll be an LT1. I am more concerned about what readily available (ie junkyard) turbos could be used and what to do for the plumbing. Any websites relating to this would be great too. thanks guys!
