cast manifold turbo guys
do you guys think it would be a bad idea to make a cast manifold hot side kit, or would the flow be too low? how bout if you got them ported a bit? im looking for a better way to route the hot side. hopefully realquick will chime in and let us kno how his manifold kit performed.

as long as you don't need more than 650rwhp, the cast manifolds should be fine. I made a kit long ago that mkent has been using... maybe he'll chime in. I made another kit with a set of ported cast manifolds, that guy hasnt run it yet to my knowledge. I have a kit I just completed ready to sell 9or install on my t/A)... with a T76 it shouldn't have any problem making 600-650rwhp. anythin more than that and you'll need to step up to a header design.

sweet. exactly what i wanted to hear. lol. now to decide if i should use corvette or camaro/trans am manifolds.... any ideas which ones are easier to change spark plugs with? im sure the camaro/trans am ones will be easier to reverse and make a crossover pipe for as they go over the top... any other opinions?

I haven't had my car on the dyno yet, nor has it seen over 4psi because the fuel pumps aren't installed. It does seem like my EGT's have climbed quite a bit, and my intial thoughts are that it may have something to do with the D port manifolds mated to a rectangular port Dart head. I think on stock heads up to 600-650rwhp, the manifolds are fine.
With the turbo I'm running and with these heads, I may end up switching to a header kit later because I may be pushing more than 650rwhp...intially i didn't plan on that high of a number.
