Mine hasn't broken, I was just curious if anyone has heard of it happening. The pres of Scat says it is common

How much boost? Stock crank or aftermarket? Buddy of mine had a 383 LT1, Callie's Stealth with standard SBC snout, was running 20# + of Vortech boost, making 1,125 HP at the flywheel. Only problem he ever had was the ATI damper hub cracking. Solution was double key the crank and put a reinforcing ring around the outside of the hub.

If you are concerned, you can get aftermarket cranks with a BBC snout.

Probably won't have an issue then. Mine is a stock 350 LT1 crank with forged pistons and Scat 4340 rods. I run less than 10 psi with a Vortech and don't turn it past 6000 rpm. It makes right at 500 rwhp and 540 rwtq.

Thanks

It used to be an issue. That's why some guys were using big block snouts on SBC cranks. I believe it was some of the Eagles that broke the snout off.
