Damn Jason, I'm sorry to hear about your troubles, its amazing how sometimes a stock internal blown motor will last for years(mine) and then others won't make it a week. Let us all know what jeff finally gets out of it, I'm putting my heads on this Sat. so I'm prob. be upthere next week to let jeff work his magic on the T/A. What name brand parts did you go with for the rebuild if you don't mind me asking, cause I know once I start running it hard I too will be in the rebuild club. Are you still with the stock heads? If so that is some un-real #'s you are putting down jeff is truley the man! Is BJ gonna be ready for ya?

Damn Jason, that was quick. Hopefully the forged 355 will last a bit longer. On a stock bottom-end using nitrous is one thing, boost in a whole different story.

After the damage was done to the stock bottom, we were all sitting outside of the dyno at Carolina Auto Masters (Creechs place), and were discussing what was next. We were all pushing Jason, so he would get the new motor together in time for a big test and tune that happened last night, and he DID it! With the help of some great people, he got it together. Some more tuning and a little more break-in and that car is going to haul more *** than it has ever.

What a story. Sorry to hear that man. Good luck with the new motor.

I had tons of posts asking whether the 8# ATI is reliable to the LS1 engines. As I was planning on supercharging my car and leaving the whole engine stock. I know many people say 4# is safe but i would think its not really worth the money. Many people responded to my posts saying its all about the tuning and some advised not to even test drive the car (to see what it can do) before you get it tuned.

Hearing so many stories about people blowing up their motors makes it hard to believe those who have had their chargers on their cars for over 18 months with no damages or mishaps to report (even when their stories are true).

Did you drive your car with the sc installed but without the tuning?
If so, how did you drive it?

Please let me know. Also being that its a 97 Im guessing its an LT1? Would that make a big difference really?

Thanks a ton in advance.
