Question for anyone running Procharger F1 on a 4th gen.
What did you do for the intake? The only remaining problem with the install is figuring out something to replace the orange "dryer hose" connecting the rest of the intake piping to the SC. It collapses. I do have someone who can fab up a piece, but that is going to be quite expensive, so I am looking for an alternative.
Anyone else dealt with this? I'd truly appreciate some insights.

I'm not sure if the F1 is the same size/location as the D1, but I built a solid intake tube from 4in mandrel bends on a customers car (with a D1) last week, and it really wasn't that bad.
It is very tight, but if you have a sawzall, vice, and a welder you could probably make one up in 3-4 hours.

My understanding with the procharger intake tube is that the orange tube is not the one that collapses. The long rubber hose after the orange tube is the part that collapses. I got the mufflex intake tube (which still utilizes a small part of the orange tube) and never had a problem..

I am currently running an F1 on my car and removed the orange flex hose. I replaced the orange flex hose with a custom solid piece made by a local fab. shop. It ended up costing me 200 but it was well worth it.

It is so hard to make an solid intake pipe to fit everyones car because there are alot of people running different setups. Are you running twin intercoolers with your setup?? If not you will have alot more room to work with. I am currently running the twin intercooler setup so my space is very limited. Are you going to be running the ATI bracket with fixed tensioner? If so I would highly recommend going with a SD Concepts spring loaded tensioner. I was running a singe 6-rib belt on my car with no belt slippage whatsoever. It made 14psi and 705 rwhp. My biggest restriction being the intercoolers. Good luck with your setup.
