hank you
One of the (many) aspects about this car that is amazing is that the tune is an untouched Mail Order tune from Bryan at PCM4Less. It's a MAF based OBDII tune. Bryan's never seen the car in person or gotten anything other than my baseline info to use in configuring it.

Love to hear so many people making good power on turbos...makes we wanna ditch my ATI

His motor hydrolocked and the tranny has sat in his garage since 2004. He's agreed to sell it back to me and will be shipping it to me in a week or 2. I've just got to find the 'right' Torque Converter for my app.

Im running a TCI superstreetfighter. It is a 3600 stall, anti-ballooning etc. Works great but I kinda wish i stuck with a 3000 stall.
PS transbreaks are fun too....rev her up to like 4500 and see 5-6psi (well on my huge turbo lol)
Mine all around drives decent with the 3600 tho. May change to a tighter one eventually.

Nice work Dave. 108mph in the 1/8th with a lazy 2.0 60ft is going to be upper 130's if not 140 in the 1/4. If you are pushing some water I'd tweak that tune a bit. That car is going to be sick with an auto in it. This is Neil's friend Joe with the blue Z06 BTW.

Hey guy! Nice to hear from you. I don't know if the water is pushing because of the relatively thin decks of the LT1 heads or not. I guess I'll find out when I switch to the Canfield heads.
How's your Z06 doing?
Keep after Neil to mod his car more and more

figuring out which platform I am going to use

been having an itching to build a 396 BBC lately.....
also been having an itching to do a budget 5.3 or 4.8 with a s400

so, this weekend I get to see what the going rate on some stuff is.

I can get a FMIC for $100ish for the correct size. I also need to buy a welder again, I sold mine after my last turbo build

Neil's car is coming along. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-VsKlwS79Mc Mine is down for a clutch but will be up soon.

I'd just check those plugs for signs of detonation. It really doesn't seem like it would be too much power unless it is rattling.

I pull my plugs frequently, keeping them arranged on a box I've perforated with Plug/Cylinder numbers. I have two sets of 8, so I can keep track of trending in plug coloring. So far, so good.

Just a quick ?, how is the plug access on your turbo kit. Do you have the header kit setup ? Can you change plugs easier than a 1 3/4" header setup on a bolt on LT1. I'm trying to find out if plug changing is easier on this kit, it appears that it might be alot easier.

Yes! Jon did a good job on the log manifold. I can do all plugs except #7 from the top. A quick trip up the ol' ramps and you can get right to #7 with ease.
