Good time to change spark plugs while you're doing the headers; chances are you'll crack a plug anyway while doing the installation. The other thing to think about is will your need any mods to get the Y-pipe to fit to the rest of the exhaust system. If so, you might be driving to your exhaust shop with nearly open headers or you'll need to tow the car to the shop.
