Where does most of the stock manifolds leak from ?

I am pretty sure my ticking is a exhaust leak , I checked all i can from underneath . It has to be the manifolds ? Whrere do they tend to leak from the most ?

Ticks at idle , only when warmed up . And gets louder slighty when its undeload at around 1900-2700ish rpm . sounds like coming from the driver side , got louder and notciable inside the car when I took the black sound deanting off from under the hood. but i had this tick for awhile now . I going get LT Headers and ORY Soon but thats not 6 months or more .

It is not uncommon for the manifold bolts to break off due to rust. I would check to make sure they are all still in place.

Thumbs up

The rear on both are almost always the ones to break. I just felt back there and found a hole where a bolt head should have been. My AIR tube valves were bad and i replaced them and sound went away. Best part if the rear bolt breaks off in the head you will not need to fix it as you don't use them on aftermarket headers.

I have a leak on the #7 (driver's rear) on my manifold. I found it with some soapy water on a cold startup. It started blowing bubbles.

It ticks about the same as you describe. I know it's my gasket leaking, but I haven't had the funds to buy headers and probably wont for a while. It really sucks, though, and it drives me crazy.

I'd really like to get it fixed though as I'm sure it's also causing me to run a little rich. I just wish there was a easier way to fix it. I can't justify it to myself to get the exhaust broken free only to fix the damn manifold and leave it in there.

Did you try just tightening the bolts and seeing if any where loose. The back one may be broken off or just loose. Its worth a shot.

The metal expands when hot so some leaks will go away while the metal is expanded.
