Open headers need to use inside voice

Currently have open headers, long tubes. I would like to quite it just a little. For neighbors sake, lol.

Any ideas? Thought about car chemistry inserts, has any one used them alone?

Don't want glass packs, so purples out.

Are you saying there is nothing on the headers after the collectors? Isn't is running rich from the O2 sensors being exposed?

Would you consider Borla XR1 mufflers? Pipes to the rear axle and turndowns seriously extend the life of your hearing.

so its your headers to the borlas injun? or is there anything else between them?
i been looking for a LT muffler and turndown setup myself. something like yours maybe not same parts. the headers have 3 bolt collectors but the mufflers dont have them. how did you make it work? weld a 3 bolt piece to the muffler?

Re: Open headers need to use inside voice

I run AS&M mid-length headers, that have been modified so that both collectors point straight back, instead of the drivers side facing to wrap the Y-pipe around the front of the oil pan. Each collectors has an extension back to the Borla. If they were long tubes, I suspect the Borla could be bolted directly to the collectors.

You can sort of see the extensions in these photos:

The system was originally designed to bolt up either cats or the Borlas to the extensions, then a custm Y-pipe to a 4" Mufflex catback. When I installed the Gear Vendor, the Y-pipe wouldn't fit, so I just had Mufflex make the pipes that run from the Borlas back to near the rear axle.
