New Shorty headers rubbing on steering shaft

I just got some pacesetter headers for my Lt1 Camaro and they seem to rub a little on the steering shaft. I did a few google searches and found some advice on a mustang forum sayin that it's usually caused by old motor mounts.

Is this good advice? If so, could anyone offer some advice on quality replacement mounts?

Yea your motor mounts are prolly sagging especially if you have 140,000 miles, replace them and you should be fine

It looks like that may have been the problem. I should be getting the car back tomorrow so I'll post again about how it worked out.

Put some new motor mounts on it and the headers have plenty of clearance. Everything worked out great

I had a muffler shop do the install, but it looks like they do.
