Need help with true duals on mid-length headers

I'm in the middle of putting a XFI 268 cam/1.6rr in my LT1 and I'm afraid the hooker catback + cutout I have now won't flow enough to get max power out of this cam. I want to do TDs, but I'm not sure of the best way to run them with midlength headers. Anybody got pics??

A friend of mine has a nitrous built 396 lt1 with ported trick flows that runs 10.9Xs on motor with over a .650 lift nitrous cam and hes running it through a 3" borla catback with the cutout on the passengers side exhaust pipe all the way at the back. I'm not saying that thats the best setup and its probably holding him back a little, but if you don't have any head work you should be ok with a 3" catback with a free flowing muffler.

Don't take my word for it, but thats just my opinion.

Cool, I'd like to keep it the way it is but I don't want to lose untapped power either. I guess no one runs TDs on mids.

No not really, with LTs you get the most out of the exhaust as you can. I think that you will be fine with a 3" catback, but if you want to keep a single you could always go with a mufflex and not have to worry about the ground clerence that you have with ture dauls.

With my setup that I have in my sig I was going to go with a mufflex or hooker Y-pipe and magnaflow catback, but the roads around here are pretty good without alot of steep angles so I'm going with the duals

Well I sure wish they would post pics of how they routed their pipes.

I have a set of AS&M mid-lengths. The collector on the driver's side was modified and a pipe added to run straight back to the driver's side of a dual exhaust.
