I just bought a 99 z28 6 speed. The previous owner told me it has a dynaflow muffler on it. It is not loud at all. I had a flowmaster on my 94 z28 that was plenty loud. When I talked to my exhaust shop they said changing to a flowmaster wont make it any louder. I don't care about more power, I just want the sound. Being in california I want to leave the cat and rest of the exhaust stock for smog.

Any idea guys on what muffler will wake up the sound level on this beast?

are you sure a high end flowmaster wont work? my 2000 m6 z28 has all the factory pipes w/ a flowmaster & its loud a plenty...not 2 bad at idle but when u get on it the car really screams

Is that the american thunder 80 you have? I don't think they even had that when I bought my 94 new. When I look on summitracing.com, that is all I see in flowmaster for my car.

Dynoflow is like a Magnaflow. They are good free flowing mufflers.
