Headers, Passenger Side Exhaust Manifold Stud & Alternator Bracket

I guess this is the case on maybe all LT1's, but my car had one of the alternator brackets/mounts mounted to a stud used to mount the exhaust manifolds. What's everyone do with this bracket when installing headers? Do you just leave it off, or do you reuse the stud as one of your header bolts? I'm thinking maybe this bracket can just be left off as there are still 3 mounting points, I believe, for the alternator without this bracket.

Do you guys know what I'm talking about? I didn't personally remove this particular stud/bolt when removing my exhaust manifolds. I'm trusting what my brother told me is correct.

Thanks for the info. I'm assuming the alternator would still have a very secure mount minus that particular bracket.

I left that bracket off as well and haven't had any problems. You'll be fine. It's got at least two other brackets securing it.
