Mac Header Catalytic Converter Options

I am looking for a 3 inch converter to install on my Z28. I have Mac headers which are flanged so I also need to purchase a set of 3 inch flanges to weld onto the cat. I was looking at a few options on ebay.

1.

2.

Any perferences of one over the other? Also, anyone know of a cheap place to get a set of 3 inch, 2 bolt flanges?

It sure looks like to me, that the first cat would give you less ground clearance. I'm pretty sure if you hit your cat on a bump you're going to crush it and knock loose the guts of the cat.

I used a Catco universal cat. my Off Road Pipe has my cut-out welded in it, and it's the same length and flanges as my cat. It only takes about 20 minutes to swap to the cat so I can run it through emissions.
My converter more resembles the second link you posted. Just make sure your rear flange has some provisions for the mounting bracket, or the exhaust will sag.

After more searching I finally found what I was looking for. I'll post the answers here just incase anyone else happens to ask the same question in the future.
