LTs & O2 question
Okay - you guys never let me down when I am looking for information. First of all, I did a search, but came up with conflicting answers. If you will, let me ask it directly to the experts!
I am buying a set of LTs for my 97 TA, which has dual cats. I believe those years also had O2s before and after the cats. It looks like I am going with the Jet-Hots from Maryland Speed for $499. Where I am uncertain is if I need to order my y-pipe with O2 bungs or not.
From what I understand, I can go about this two ways. One, just delete the rear O2s in the ECU programming and just have the ECU read the front O2 readings. Alternatively, I can run O2 sims for the rear. I have never needed to use O2 sims on previous cars, but I believe they just plug into the clip and nothing plugs into the y-pipe.
So, with those options, it seems that I don't need to bother with O2 bungs in the y-pipe. Am I understanding this correctly or are there better alternatives? Your opinions and expertise are greatly appreciated!

Yes, the 02 sims just plug into the harness connectors that would normally plug into the sensors themselves. You would either need to get those or PCM tuning because even with 02 bungs in the y-pipe, there is no cats so the rear 02 sensors would have nothing to monitor..
