LT's on a 1995 Z28...?
I have a 1995 Z28 with dual cats and I really want to run LT's. My car is originally from San Diego, but now it resides in TX. I want to keep my A.I.R. and EGR and be able to pull into anywhere and get a sticker. I really don't want to run shorty's, can I anyone help me please?
Thank you, Corey

Most long tubes are available with or without the AIR, EGR and O2 connections, so that's not a problem. Just order the correct ones. The fact you have the dual-cat AIR plumbing may make it necessary to use an adapter of some sort to get the threads on the AIR connections to match.
Just to be perfectly clear, long tubes, by definition, are not emissions legal on an LT1 F-Body. They require relocation of the cats, and that's a violation of Federal emissions laws. Whether a particular state or juridstiction chooses to enforce the Federal standards is sort of hit or miss. CA would not accpet LT's. I know it would be a problem here in NJ if they chose to look for the cats.

So all that I need to do is purchase the correct long tube headers and two cats and as long as they don't actually look at the exhaust then it should pass a sniffer test and also my SES light should not come either correct...?
Your SES light will not come on with or without cats. 95 is OBD-I and does not have the after-cat O2 sensors required to check for the operation of the cats. That feature was only added in 1996 with OBD-II.
A set of long tubes with cats and all the emissions connections, correctly installed, will not change the sniffer test results from what they would be with stock manifolds. The issue is only a matter of "visual" inspection.
