I have an LT4 starter and my longtubes (pacesetter LT's) dont touch. I dont know why they would hit a mini-starter since its smaller.

I have a CVR Pro-Torque starter, and the entire starter can be rotated to about 6 different positions to help clear headers, or just move the starter away from the headers to minimize heat damage. JEG's sells the same starter under their brand name. Works with 153 or 168-tooth flywheels.
