Header Choice Question (Time To Beat a Dead Horse)

I've been searching around on this topic, but haven't come up with anything conclusive.
What I am looking for is an opinion on mid-length (shorty) headers. I have been looking at either the Pacesetter 72C1335, Edelbrock 68942, or the BBK 15670.
As far as long tubes, I am not wanting to go that route. The reason that I picked these three is because the cost isn't astronomical, and I retain my ground clearance which is what I am looking for. I know that they won't give me the gains of LT's but I am okay with that. Out of the three that I have found, which ones would prove to be the better choice? Or, are there other brands out there that are of higher quality for the same money?
Also, is it essential to run over-the-valve-cover plug wires, or can I stay stock as long as they are routed away from the headers?
