dumb question
i just got the pacesetter headers with all the emissions hookups and a y pipe. my question is...if i decided i wanted to delete the AIR can i do that now? i'm going to keep the egr but is there a way i can just block off the AIR or will that **** something else off? haha
You can easily delete the AIR system by plugging the 3 places it connects: both headers and the intake plenum. However, it will throw a code on OBD2 systems, so it has to be edited out. I emailed PCMforless about it, and they said they can remove it so it will still pass the plug in for smog. You won't pass the inspection though, so find a place that doesn't do it. I plan on doing it on my next tune. There are a few write ups on removing the system, I believe you have to cut the pipe that runs under the crank pulley in half to remove it.
Ebay has plug kits that make it real easy.

just unbolt the lines from headers, then remove the air assembly. plug up the holes on the headers. get the code deleted and u could remove the fuse for the air pump as well. should take 15 mins tops... save probably 15lbs that air assembly is pretty heavy haha
k awesome. i figured i could i just wanted to make sure. my dad owns an auto parts store and i work here as well so i'm pretty sure i can find something to plug the holes. i just wanted to make sure i wouldn't really mess something up, haha. thanks for your help guys!
