QTP vs. Mac

I know this has been talked to death but i still can't find someone in my area or see good pic's that prove i will have the ground clearance i need. Also trying to find doc. of dyno's of both on a generally stock motor. It's a daily driver in the streets of LA Calif. and already scraping my SLP Y here and there. Also have to run cats for the CARB smog ****'s. So with this in mind do i go with the mac's (who no longer carry a Catted Y) and get some random techs welded in or spring for the QTP's custom Y with cats, or Dynatech's Lt's with cats for about 200 more than the QtP option. Also buy Hp tuners before the headers to see where im at and where my headers take me. Eventually going for about 450RWHP similar torque daily driver. But making it a long process to keep the wallet a bit fatter and keep some money aside for when the Pumpkin pops
Let me know what your experiences have been, Thanks

You're worried about cats but, neither of these headers are legal in Cali because you have to move the stock cat location with both.

If your're doing this anyway, go LT. I scrape my Y with macs so you might as well get the extra power the LT's offer.

Also for cats, the Magnaflow metallic core cats are the best flowing. They don't have a CARB number yet, but if you're running mid or LT headers you won't be legal anyway.

thats the thing i have a few places that ignore the visual as long as i pass im ok, so cats are still a must to pass. The part im worried about it smashing the collectors it just after the wheel and thats where ive beat up the stock exhaust on the world of speed bumps out here. Every street, shopping center and parking lot has speed bumps. the funny thing is the cars punching it through the lot are SUV's that the bumps are barely felt so Anyways! Looking pic's of Qtp's installed so i can see how much lower they will hang at collector area. Just looking for the gains with the most tuck if you know what i mean 3-5 is not a big deal when i daily drive to everywhere in LA for my job. I know why did i have to lower the car... it just looks wrong if you don't, felt like a toyota pre-runner with my nose up in the front.
