coated headers and O2 sensor
Hi, I remember hearing that Breaking in coated headers(pacesetter LT) will ruin you o2 sensors. I was just wondering if this is true, and if it is how long should I wait befor installing new o2 sensors?
I have about 300 miles on the headers right now and I think that my o2 sensors are shot because it feels like the car is running lean.
any help would be great
Thanks,
Josh

Hmmm. Perhaps I will put in the old ones, since they are not that bad for a while. Good to know. Thanks for sharing.
On a side note, how is your tune? Ion is " local" for me, and I will be calling him shortly for a tune.

The tune is great. I'm very pleased with it and if he is local for you I would definitly go with him.
Yeah that is what I did with my o2s the old ones were old so I'm gonna wait about a week longer and put in the new ones I bought.

I got an SES light shortly after installing my new coated headers for the front 02 sensors. I knew there were issues with 02 sensors and coated header break-in periods so I already had a freshly bought spare set sitting in the garage. I ran the car with the old sensors for about a week before installing the new set.
