Exhaust System From headers to exhaust tips

exhaust cut out

exhaust cut out

will an exhaust cutout in between the cats and the muffler mess with my computer or cause any problems?
its going on a 1991 camaro z28 5.7tpi

I'v heard yes's and no's

IDK if it helps but I have a 96 Z28 w/cutout open and have had no problems with it. The cutout is after the cats right before the rear axle so it doesn't mess with the o2 sensors.

Whoever told you no has been misinformed. That particular placement of the cutout will have no ill effects on the PCM or driveability other than sounding alot meaner.

I am assuming you're asking this for when the cutout is capped. It seals up just like any other part of the exhaust where it is flanged. No leaks as long as you have it tight enough.

As far as an E-cutout, I don't know. I have no experience with one.
