my 21 year old cat rattles when i put the camaro into reverse, so i ordered a test pipe a few days ago, i cant wait to wak up my flowmaster system. but how does the catalytic converter come off at the y pipe? i see there is a bolted flange connecting it to the intermediate pipe, but this is what i am looking at where the cat meets the y pipe. by the way, this is on a 86 camaro with a 305 4bbl.



it appears to just slip on, like a muffler, but it has no clamp, so it's got me wondering.
