this is 4 my stock '00 m6 z28...currently it has a flowmaster muffler...but all the pipe's are the factory 1's...i dont wanna screw around w/ headers or the cat's....its my dd......i do want it to have a nice loud tone tho....looking for a cat-back w/ 3'' pipe that dumps where the rear axle is...dont want tail pipes...any gt any suggestions?

 

b4 the axel or after?. If its b4 just cut your exhaust and put a muffler there like a stainless steel works one............

 

Just go to a shop, have them put a 3" I with a bullet, spiral or stick muffler of your choice. There are no catbacks that dump.

BTW, my 00 SS has headers and highflow cats and is a daily driver. Why wouldn't you want to mess with those mods?

 

...mainly cause im in school and im broke lol.....but i would be completely satisfied w/ just a new muffler......me n my dad have a '69 chevelle ss 396....so most the high end stuff goes in her....just thinking about a new muffler 4 my z...

 

I think I've seen an Edelbrock cat back that has turn downs at the ends. If that's the case you would be able to hide them pretty good.
