Is this a bad setup?

Hey guys, new here.

I got a 94 z28 yesterday. all stock, wanting to make it sound better. I guess there isnt much room for duals from what ive looked into.

I was thinking of taking off the stock cat, and running the pipe into a single entry dual exit muffler with the stock square tips exiting in front of the rear tires.

what do you guys think

True duals are common ground on F-bodies. It sounds like your just doing a cat back that exits in front of the rear tires( I'm assuming almost a side pipe layout). I would just go and find a catback system you like. Or you could go ahead and put some headers on and do a true dual that exits before the tire.

I would look at your overall goals for the car and start to decide from there. Its not to wise to have to put another exhaust system on your car when you find out the first one is not what you really want.

There are plenty of people running true dual setups and plenty of options for complete catback exhaust systems if you also want to go that route. I would do a "search" and start digging up some of the old exhaust threads, you will find tons of info that I'm sure will help steer you in the right direction.
