any truth to this

Im in the market for headers with emissions. A vendor with out emissions on their headers told me i could tune out the codes for emissions. Any truth to this?

That is correct. The person that does it needs to know how to do it in a way the prevents setting the various "system not ready" flags.

Does Ontario do a "visual"?

Yes they do but thats about the only part they can skip. Usually its a friend and we are talking instead off looking under hood. But the computer check on the car, he cant fudge that.

Its a big job and allot of money wasted if the code clearing didnt work.

What do you think you are gaining by deleting EGR and AIR? No performance gains. Really not worth the complications.

Not so much gains. There is just a better selection on headers like lpp and others with no emissions.
