1994 trans am exhaust
Hey guys, I want to have the dynomax sound on my car. The problem is, i want the dynomax bullets on them. How would i put the bullets on my car do to the f body setup and limited space and what would i do about a muffler. I want to get an exhaust in 2 weeks so hopefully i can get this figured out! Thanks

You already have an answer on the LT1 Based Engine Tech forum, where you cross-posted.
No i still havent gotten an answer yet lol. I dont know how/ where i would put the muffler(bullet). WOuld it go after the cats, if so, what would i do with my already existing muffler? Or could i take my already existing muffler and have two bullets right before the exhaust exits. I have no idea how people with a 94 t/a run bullets without true duel. Do you know how they do it?
What is your goal with running "bullets"? Generally, they are used as low pressure loss mufflers on high performance race cars, with minimal noise reduction. Why would you add bullets to the stock system, while keeping the stock muffler? Are you trying to quiet the car down?
In any case, the bullets would bee located AFTER the cat. At that point, there is only one pipe, so you would add one bullet. Now you simply have two mufflers in series - the bullet and the stock cross-flow muffler, with dual outlets. Why?
The alternative is to run a 3" intermediate pipe from the cat, back over the rear axle. At that point, you would either add a single bullet in place of the stock muffler, and have a single exhaust pipe on the driver's side of the bumper. That would be an extremely loud system.
Or, you would put a "splitter" on the 3" pipe after it went over the axle, and run individual pipes back to the two sides of the bumper, each with a very short bullet in it. Where you could fit the bullets anbd whether you could see them would depend on what size you are using. This would still be a fairly loud system.
But WHAT ARE YOU TRYING TO ACCOMPLISH? Are you looking for more HP, more noise, less noise? It really isn't clear from your question on either forum what you are tyring to do.
Are you aware of the full catback systems already available, that include the 3" intermediate pipe, a high flow muffler and dual outlet tips? Have you heard of the SLP Loudmouth, for example, that includes only a resonator, and not a muffler? Then there's the Borla "adjustable" that lets you bypass a part of the exhaust around the muffler, to allow you to "tune" the sound? Why "bullets"?

I want bullets because i heard they were the loudest sound without a rasp for a decent amount. Yeah i planned on running 3in pipe all the way back, go over the axel and then splitting the pipe, then i would run a bullet on each part of the exahust after the split. The other way i thought about doing for a loud system is running 3in pipe all the way back and having one bullet after the cat (which i dont have) and then maybe having another bullet after the pipe splits over the axel( on the drivers side). I want the loudest sound i can get for all said and done, $400. The shop told me $125 labor, and $ 150 for 3in SS piping from the headers back. So already thats 275 and each bullet is roughly $50 so now im up to 375... Any thoughts on what I suggested in part with my desire for a loud system for about 400 would be great. Thanks
dude i want noise. Loudmouth sucks to me i hate that rasp so even though theyre the loudest, it not the sound i want. I feel as if dynomax is the loudest system with their bullets so i am trying to imagine how i would set up new 3in piping and have a bullet or bullets on my car
Well then, "dude" if you want noise, why don't you go with a cut-out. Alot cheaper and you will pick up some gains at WOT. Have you looked at the true duals thread? If not then you might want to look there, maybe get an idea.
