Worn out C-Clips?

My rear brakes both make noises like they are constantly dragging on the caliper bracket or something and this has been going on for a while. I remember hearing somewhere that c-clips can wear out and cause problems similar to this. So could that be causing the problem I am having? Also, how hard/how much would it cost to get them replaced?

On a possibly unrelated/related note, both my ASR off and ABS lights are on in my dash and im not quite sure why. Any ideas?

well I know my C-clips wore out in the stock rear many years ago with only about 60-70 K miles on the clock. When going around a corner you could hear the axle shift out and start dragging caliper on the rotor... I will do a quick search because I think I have pics of it somewhere...

As for the ASR and ABS lights since you have a 4 sensor setup there are sensors at each wheel, and if there is contact from the axle shifting due to the C-clip the sensor is more then likely screwed. They are pretty much magnets that are close but not touching that read a spinning ring, and if things shift it could cause issues...

THe diff is probably gone. My car did the same thing. how many miles on it?

Just a fyi, when i replaced the c clips the noise went away for a while. But it slowly but surely came back, so it may work as a temp. fix but i wouldnt trust it for the long haul.

Is the noise you get a metal on metal screech?

It not a screech, it sounds more like a scrubbing, almost like sandpaper on wood, but a little different.
