ASR/TCS System Problem

OK I have been doing a lot of searching and last week I was posting a lot thinking the problem was in the brake system, but now I know that it isn't or at least I think it isn't!!!

The problem = unknown
The symptoms = (red) "Brake" light on the dash and the "TCS Off" light were lit
What I found = tested the entire brake system, check lines, calipers, sensors.. Aside for a few slightly warped rotors nothing was wrong with it.
I then thought about removing power to the pressure safety switch that I thought was causing the light, well that didn't seem to work..
Then I pulled the TCS relay.. Guess what the damn brake light went out , but the TCS Off light stayed lit, most likely because the relay was out!

OK to my questions;
What could be wrong with the TCS system?
Could it just be the bad relay?
There are no trouble codes being thrown, and after reading my manual there is only one trouble code for the Traction control system and that is a low voltage warning..
If there was a problem with a sensor it would effect the ABS system and I would get the ABS INOP light, right? I am not getting that light, and like I said above I am not getting a code!
What have I not checked? I hope it isn't the brake/traction control module!

Thanks for any input!

Re: TCS Problem

Did you check the emergency brake switch.

Yes, but that doesn't explain why removing the TCS relay would make the light go off, but yes I did check that in all the other things I checked in the brake system..
Anymore questions would be helpful, there could be something simple that I missed, I am not perfect or do I claim to be, well I do but you know what I am talking about!

Re: ASR/TCS System Problem

Either there are not many people looking through this section or I am the only one to ever have a problems with the ASR/TCS System??

Mods - if this is in the wrong place can you move it for me?
I thought general would be good because LT1's and LS1's came with traction control, but maybe the brake section woud be good???
