Will 95 4L60E fit my 94
Will 95 4L60E fit my 94
Ok i did do a search and i did find some info but here's my problem. my tranny went out in my 94 Formula so I got one from a 95 form a guy who swapped for a 6-speed. I removed the old tranny and was about to put on the 95 when i noticed that the harness connection had an extra pin 13 compared to 12 in my 94 tranny.
Is there any way i can make this work on my 94 do i have any options? should i just sell the 95 and look for a 94? Do only 4L60E's from f bodies fit or can i use a caprice/truck 4L60E?
I would prefer to use the 95 tranny if there is a way i can use it.
If not does anyone know of a good rebuild shop in so cal? I just want a stock to slightly better than stock rebuild for daily driving mostly.

The 1995 uses a pulse width modulated TCC solenoid. That's the extra wire. I think you can use the 95 transmission, but need to do some slight conversion in this area. You might only need to swap out the TCC solenoid, but I am not sure of the specifics. Hopefully someone that knows will chime in.

Sorry...I've shyed away from this post, simply because I don't like to swap transmissions into the wrong year vehicle.
You might be able to block the TCC regulator valve in the '95 valve body, essentially turning it into an on/off lock-up, instead of PWM. This will require removal of the valve body, and a new spring to istall in the valve. I believe enerything else will be OK, because your computer won't see the PWM solenoid.
