Whats wrong with my 4L60E?

Ok here the symptoms......

It started the middle of last week. It was fine one day, then the next day I started having these problems.

From a dead stop when I press the gas there will be a slight hesitation before it starts to move forward. When it starts to move forward there is a shudder/vibration for a couple seconds if I am taking it slow. If I press the gas a little harder from a stop the shudder/hesitation only lasts a second or so but there is a noticeable jerk when it engages. If I go from park to rev, there is the same hesitation and shudder. Some days the hesitaion/shudder is less noticeable, some days it takes longer for the car to start moving.

While I am driving, the tranny seems fine. There are no free revs and it upshifts fine with no slipping. However, if I am coming to a stop and hit the gas it will have a slight jump in revs before it catches. It is the same going through turns and getting back on the gas.

I have aslo noticed that when I am cruising at a steady speed around town (45-50) in OD my revs will pulsate about 100 rpm's.

I am waiting to get the rebuild receipt from the previous owner and go to the same shop to see what is going on. Any ideas on what is going on with my tranny? As always your input is appreciated.

TIA.

Yeah I checked the fluid levels. It was about a quart low. Fluid looked ok. Topped it off and the problems still persist.

If the Fluid was a quart low and you drove it that way you may have done damage to the trans already, While being a quart low on engine oil is not likely to cause any issue ,A quart low on trans fluid with the 60E is alot they have no reserve I have seen them at less than half a quart low empty the pan and neutral in a turn or on hard acceleration.

Let me know if it still exibits these same symptoms while driving in manual 3rd gear. See if it acts the same (reving before it catches).

Well I drove it in "D" yesterday. All the symtoms were still there. The only thing that didn't happen was the pulsating revs when cruising at steady speed. I did notice that in the morning when first leaving today and the car was cold that there was no hesitation/studder when going from a dead stop.

EDIT: Something else that I noticed. When I was slowly pulling into my sloped driveway, the studder/vibration happened and the low trac light came on and pulled throttle like I was spinning tires.

I'm going to guess it's something in either the input sprag, or the forward clutches.
