What year and car th400 etc

Im going to go ahead and do the M6 to Auto conversion. Im going to go with a th400. What year and car would be the best to get a th400 tranny from to use for my 93 LT1? Also bmr makes a lt1 th400 aftermarket crossmember. Will my stock drive shaft bolt up and work? Also I already got a auto brake pedal setup. So as long as I get a 153 tooth flexplate the Ill be able to use my starter correct? Ill need a lokar dipstick and a th 400 shifter and linkage. Whats the best aftermarket auto shifters yall are using? So basically only other thing Ill need is a brake master cylinder and brake booster?? Does the th400 have any ecm connections that Ill need to modify especially since my car is a 93?

Why do you need a brake master cylinder and a brake booster to install a TH400 in an M6 car?

My suggestion to one of your other posts, or to one of your PM's was that all you really need to do is remove the clutch pedal from your current M6 pedal set, and weld a small metal tab to the brake pedal that allows you to add a wider "automatic" brake pedal pad. The brakes remaing unchanged. You don't even need to change the brake pedal pad - I just thought it was a nice touch.

Even if you opted to swap out your complete M6 pedal assembly for the complete A4 pedal assembly, nothing changes with regard to the brakes.... the master cylinder pushrod still attaches to the brake pedal the same way. There's no difference in the A4 and M6 brakes, except for the wider pedal pad.

in 1993 the A4 was non electronically controlled (4L60 as opposed to the 4L60E for94 and up) it was basically the 700R4 so there are no electronics to worry about, and th400s don't have electronics either. A th400 is a th400, the only differences between years and cars were the gearing i believe, i may be wrong on this. I have one sitting in the garage though, came out of a late 60's full size chevy.
