Here is one of the reputable tranny builders on this site: http://www.cahallperformancetransmissions.com/
Did the shop that rebuilt your tranny give you any type of warranty?

Yeah i had a warranty on the transmission and they told me it was beyond repairable and that the repairs that they made were for themporary use only. so we argued with them and got our money back so im just looking to buy a hole new transmission.

Um...$1400 (with your supplied core). And it'll take whatever you want to throw at it. That doesn't include a converter, though.

Go with CPT. Everyone has had great luck with his builds. In fact, mine is at his shop as we speak.

I sent mine accross the country and it ran me $87 each way plus buying a box and materials at Wal-mart. Overall it was the best route I've taken to date. I've burned over 4 grand on several other so called expert places with bullet proof trannies and if they made it out of their place without messin up it blew within 3 months. Course I got the go around and got screwed but franks tranny has bar far been the most reliable and actually lasts. If you got a decent TCI converter your probably looking at about 2k total for tranny/shipping and converter. If you want a Vigilante wich I prefer or some other comparable torque converter Your lookin at 2400 total(Which is still less than most shops middle of the line trannies).

My opinion Go CPT.

Depending on how our work load is at that time, you're looking at between 1 and 2 weeks. We're running closer to 2 weeks, right now. It's our "busy season".

Thanks,
Frank
