trans temp question please help

trans temp question please help

alright so my new autometer gauge is reading way past 250 whats up what could be wrong i need ideas i cant drive it and its killing me i have sythic in it if that makes a diff
what should i be running at stock i mean no extra cooler?

First are you sure the gauge is reading right? If it is you are generating heat inside your trans more than likely from slipping clutches.Do you have a aftermarket cooler?Higher stall? Is the pump working good? What is your trans pressure?Synthetic fluid might cause you to have more slipping than you should or you have other issues. If i can be of help LMK. Ideally your temp should be around 170*. Steven
