Through work via UPS ground I paid like $76 insured to $500. We get a pretty decent sized discount at work though.

I can ship a 4L60E anywhere in the country for a maximum of $100 (one way).

HMMM...what does it weigh? My T-56 with everything to swap it over and clutch and flywheels was over 250#



Not trying to steal the guys thread.....I know he will probly be pissed i'm asking this but just curious

A 4L60E packaged the way we ship them ends up weighing 147#.

I payed like $88 (insured) to ship my trans to CPT.

i'm pretty sure a t56 will be considerably lighter than a 4l60e so it should cost less if you use the same shipping service, but how you package the tranny can also determine which shipping services you are limited to use

Eddie,
Your transmission had some serious issues. The stock (weak) SKF "single cage" sprag had grenaded. This is the reason we NEVER reuse these type of sprags.



Yout Trans Go shift kit took out the 2-4 band, which dished the reverse input housing.


I can't believe someone built this before and installed these "load release" springs. Any time these (or ANY release springs) are used, they'll wipe out the 3-4 clutches. They don't allow a quick enough apply, or enough holding power.


These are the cooked 3-4 clutches.

These are your over-run clutches. Notice the top friction is completely missing the lining.

Damn that sprag looks terrible....lucky it didnt take out some more parts
