Trans removal...

... does anyone have a write up on how to do this? I am trying to remove my trans to ship it off to CPT.

Also, Frank, would it be alright to ship the trans just on a palate? If you still have my number gimme a call.

theres a link for a stall converter install. That will esentially be the same process of getting the transmission out altogether though.

Eddie,
If you ship it on a pallet, you'll probably have to ship it truck freight. This will be more money. You'd also have to make sure all the openings are covered (dipstick, speedo, etc.)

Sorry I get so many calls each week that it's near impossible to keep them all...Once we actually confirm work for you, we keep track of everything.

Alrighty then, I'll just make the crate that's on your site in the next couple days. Anyways, after waiting for a friend to get here to help me pull the trans and running around to get tools that I thought I had and didn't, it only took about a hour to a hour and a half to pull out. I will try to call you in the next couple days and set things up.

Ha, thats yours? I was wondering where I bookmarked that from, nice writeup. Sorry for not crediting you, I would have if I remembered it was from a CZ28 member.

Frank, have you received the info and what not on my car yet? The trans didn't ship out yesterday because DHL's pick up man never came by my house and lied by saying that he tried to pick it up at 7:11pm, kinda funny because I called DHL at 7:15pm to figure out where he was and I had been at my house since 2:00pm waiting for them. They should be here any minute now to pick it up.

Was there anything more that you need info wise on the car? There might be a little more here and there stuff that I didn't bother to mention.
