trans not shifting

i just finished installing my transmission, i had it rebuilt, and had the guy install a transgo jr-700 shift kit. took her for a drive and found out that its not shifting, the fluid is full, does the kickdown cable have any affect on up-shifting, it wont shift manually or in drive, its a 4l60(700r4) what else should i look for?

thanks
tony

Something could have been missed or screwed up on the build. The governor could be sticking, or damaged. Usually, a stuck governor will still upshift manually, though.
A valve in the valvebody could be sticking (Most often the TV valve). The TV limit valve or TV upshift valve will also prevent upshifts.
YES, The TV cable has to be connected AND adjusted correctly for the transnission to operate properly. It's not just a "kickdown cable" on a 700...The cable controls the transmission pressure!

The first time I had the tranny rebuilt, they couldn't get it to shift at the shop. They hooked some kind of computer controlled thingy to the tranny and they could get i to shift though the hook up controller. Found out it the PCU needed to be replaced.
